TWITT Honours list

Every year a new years honours list is produced by HRH Queen Elizabeth II.  So in honour of the amazing people in my life I wanted to nominate some of them to make them realise just how awesome and amazing they are to me.

The first on has to go to my husband Tim Maidment.  Tim has been super supportive and loyal and given me the confidence and courage to seize life and live it.  He has been a true partner in every sense of the word; in both words, actions and in the very essence of his being.  I feel privileged to have such an awesome Man in my life.

He has faced his own demons but remains strong and focused and dedicated to being who he his.  A person who left the corporate world behind to build a new career as a writer.  It is taking its time, but  he is now getting more and more regular work coming in as a free lancer; along with giving him time to write his own things.  I love you and am so proud to call you my husband.  I love you baby

The second has to go to Squeakehb who has grown so much over the last year.  I have had the privilege of seeing her fight her demons, grow in confidence and have her own brand and product of cosplays and streaming go from strength to strength; including gaining sponsorship from ASUS Technology – congratulations on supporting Women in Tech.  This woman, for me, is the reason I do what I do.  She sticks two fingers up to the world and says she’s doing it her way.  Keep going awesome you are the best – I cant imagine my life without you.

The third is for my stepdaughter Mundaen photography a talented photographer in the making.  Someone I have seen grow and continues to grow into a formidable young lady.  Someone,  whom I am proud to say I know and have been able to see her develop into such an wonderful, talented, caring and generally wow individual.  I look forward to see the walls and ceilings you will break down in the future and the world you will create for yourself.  Continue looking through your lens and being you.

The fourth has to be my sister who has taught my about humility and acceptance and strength in this last year.  Born with a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis and then later diagnosed with MS last year.  She was determined to remain positive and strong.  Her focus was I will walk down the aisle and I wont be in a wheelchair.  She succeeded in the first but has recently had to concede to needing a wheelchair for the long term.  She has decided to take the battle back and focus on what she can do as opposed to what she cant.  This women has a strength and a positivity that I can only wish to emulate.  I only hope that she truly recognizes what a wonderful caring person she is and that I am proud to call her my sister – Love you LBS

The final award for me has to go to my best friend Kelly Casey.  For me, you cannot get two people more opposite than Kelly and I.  We function in very different ways but our sense of humour, integrity, and a shared history has kept our friendship strong.  This women has built an amazing jewellery business up from scratch over the last year.  She has provided a future for many women in far reaching parts of the world that would not be able to get their jewellery out to the wider audiences.  She single-handedly travels to these parts of the world, sources and talks to the makers making sure each piece is handcrafted to perfection and comes with its own piece of history and story in every box.  This makes each piece ethically purchased with a fair price paid for each product.  Recently having her own battles to fight I know she will come out stronger and better than ever before.  Just remember girl you are not alone.  You are a success and I am so proud to know you.

Special mentions also have to go to @mattygroves and Sarah Jackson for being there when I needed a friend – looking forward to our Gin Night .
